The ICAMRL (Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Magnetic Resonance Laboratories) is dedicated to promoting appropriate diagnostic quality MR in the delivery of health care by providing a peer review process of laboratory accreditation.

Introduction
The UAB Cardiovascular MRI Facility is administered by the UAB Division of Cardiovascular Disease. It is available for routine and specialized imaging of the entire cardiovascular system. Our highly experienced technical and clinical staff will assist the referring physicians in arranging and performing clinical diagnostic imaging and research studies.

Facilities
We feature state-of-the-art facilities with two scanners: a Philips 3T system with an advanced cardiovascular imaging package including free-breathing navigator techniques, and a GE 1.5T system with Advantage workstation. Our technologists have over 25 years of experience in all aspects of cardiovascular MRI.

Experienced Faculty
Our clinical staff consists of Hrudaya Nath, M.D., (Clinical Director), Steven Lloyd, M.D., Ph.D. (Co-Director, Section Head), Himanshu Gupta, MD (Co-Director); and Satinder Singh, MD. They have extensive experience in performing and interpreting cardiovascular MRI. The team includes cardiologists and thoracic radiologists with extensive experience in all aspects of cardiothoracic imaging and they can provide guidance, when necessary, about optimal imaging methods for complicated clinical situations.
