Continuing Medical Education (CME), one of the strongest components of the school's outreach program in Tuscaloosa, is provided in a variety of ways. The series is designed to complement and supplement the educational experiences of residents and medical students as well as to provide review and updating for practicing physicians in West Alabama. The school sponsors CME programs at the University of Alabama campus and in Alabama communities convenient to the state's health care professionals.
The Educational Tower at DCH Regional Medical Center offers classrooms, conference rooms, office space, and a library equipped with closed-circuit television and other audiovisual capabilities. These facilities provide an appropriate setting for the Grand Rounds and other CME courses sponsored by the college.
