The Pathway Program
- Elective experience in ambulatory patient care, designed for pre-clinical students interested in primary care medicine and specifically Family Medicine
- Offered through the Department of Family and Community Medicine for medical students
Elements of the Pathway Program
- Real patient exposure
- Preceptors: practicing physicians to whom you are assigned

- Advisors: practicing physician members of the Department of Family and Community Medicine who can assist you in career planning and curricula choices
- Clinical Conferences: clinical topics presented by family physicians
- Clinical Skills Workshops: workshops designed to teach basic clinical skills
Application and Selection Process
- Complete the application
- Include a brief resume and prepare a short essay stating your career goals and why you are interested in becoming a Pathway participant
- All applicants selected for the Pathway Program will be notified by mail or email
