The Tinsley Harrison Research Society meets twice a month to discuss various medical and societal issues. Members include MS-III and MS-IV students as well as selected faculty. The fourth-year medical students usually give presentations which are designed to trigger lively debate.

Dr. Tinsley Harrison used to hold similar informal meetings with medical students in his home. In this tradition, student and faculty members dine together before the presentation and discussion.
