Tuscaloosa Campus



The Tuscaloosa campus of the University of Alabama School of Medicine provides the clinical years of medical education for UASOM medical students who choose to spend their third and fourth years at the College of Community Health Sciences in Tuscaloosa.

The Tuscaloosa program is university based and community oriented. In addition to providing medical education and residency training in family practice, a major mission of the program is improving health care in rural and under-served areas of Alabama. Its academic programs include emphases on primary health care and health care delivery, family medicine, and community medicine.

With this comprehensive experience, Tuscaloosa graduates have entered a wide range of medical specialities and subspecialties.
