*The data shown refer only to PGY I placements. A substantial number of the persons accepting PGY I positions in general internal medicine, transitionals, and general surgery also have accepted PGY2 or subsequent year positions in sub-specialties or support specialties. Included are emergency medicine, neurology, dermatology, occupational medicine, radiology, anesthesiology, neurological surgery, orthopedic surgery, ENT, ophthalmology, plastic surgery, and urology.

Fellowship training programs elected by Huntsville graduates to date include pediatric hematology and neonatology, cardiology, endocrinology, infectious disease, gastroenterology, pulmonary medicine, colon and rectal surgery, hand surgery (orthopedic), perinatology, and aerospace medicine.
