At the VA Medical Center, the Plastic Surgical Service is involved with general reconstructive problems as well as the management of malignancies of the skin, particularly of the face, and cooperates with the Head and Neck Service in the reconstruction of difficult defects. A liaison with the Division of Orthopedic Surgery complements their excellent management of hand problems and allows a cooperative effort in the performance of microvascular surgery.
