Allan C. Dobbins .jpg) Associate Professor Department of Biomedical Engineering
Education
Ph.D., McGill University
Experience
Dr. Dobbins joined the Faculty of Engineering at UAB in 1996 after completing a postdoctoral fellowship at Caltech. He has published more than 12 articles and reports.
Research Interest
Allan Dobbins studies natural and artificial vision. His interests include the functional architecture of the visual system in human and nonhuman primates, and the use of functional magnetic resonance imaging to study visual function. Current efforts are focused on representations of space in the primate visual system, and neural computational models of transformations from egocentric to allocentric reference frames.
