Department of Biomedical Engineering
Education
Ph.D., Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences
Experience
Dr. Yao joined the Faculty of the Department of Biomedical Engineering at
UAB in 2007. He worked at the Los Alamos National Laboratory as a Postdoctoral
Researcher (2001-2004) and Technical Staff Member (2004-2006), and served the
CFD Research Corporation as a Senior Research Scientist (2006-2007).
Research Interests
My research interests include biomedical optics instrumentation, optical imaging
of retinal function, and biophysical study of neural physiology. More
about my laboratory research.
