UAB Eye Care is an integral part of the UAB Medical Center. The newly-renovated main clinic is located in the Henry Peters Building at 1716 University Boulevard, next door to the Lister Hill Library of the Health Sciences. It comprises 34,000 square feet of space with state-of the-art equipment. It is a multidisciplinary clinic with both optometrists and ophthalmologists providing care in a number of subspecialties. General eye exams are provided in the Primary Eye Care Service and there is a modern Optical Service with the very latest in fashionable eye wear and ophthalmic lenses. Other specialty services include Cornea and Contact Lenses, Pediatric Optometry, Ocular Disease and Low Vision Rehabilitation. There are ophthalmologists specializing in cataracts, general ophthalmology and retina. UAB Eye Care offers the very finest eye and vision care available.
