Mr. and Ms. UAB

Mr. and Ms. UAB is named each year during homecoming festivities. The winners of the Mr. and Ms. UAB competition will each receive a $1,500 scholarship from the UAB National Alumni Society. They will work closely with the Alumni Society's board of directors as student representatives to raise awareness of the organization's Student Alumni Society, scholarship programs and events.

The UAB National Alumni Society is no longer accepting applications for the 2008 Mr. and Ms. UAB Scholarship Competition. Applications were due by 10 a.m. on September 26, 2008.

Competition Overview
Applicants should have demonstrated a record of leadership and active participation in extracurricular activities such as: student government association, service or special interest organizations, fraternities or sororities, publications, honorary societies, religious organizations, athletics, university committees, or the creative and performing arts. One need not be involved in all of the above, but there must be some indication of overall leadership ability and exceptional performance in one or more areas.

The Mr. and Ms. UAB scholarship is a one-year scholarship of $1,500.
