Welcome to the Office of Student Affairs
I want to welcome you to the Office for Student Affairs! The purpose of our office is to assist you with any informational materials about our programs, facilitate the application process to the School of Nursing, and make sure you have completed all requirements for graduation. We are happy to assist prospective students in the process of admission and ensure that they, as well as current students, have the knowledge of and access to student services offered by the School and the University.
These services include, but are not limited to,

The Office for Student Affairs also provides support for the various nursing student associations and activities:
- Senior Recognition Ceremony
- Graduation ceremonies
- UAB HealthCorps, a UAB student organization that brings various “health” schools together to serve UAB as well as the Birmingham area community
- Pre-nursing information sessions in conjunction with general studies
- Pre-Nursing Shadowing Program in conjunction with the Office of Career Service and University Hospital Human Resources.
Our knowledgeable staff can answer your questions, direct you to the appropriate website page for further information or forms, and guide you to the appropriate contact person for specific needs you may have. We have an open door policy so please visit us at any time! The office is located on the first floor of the School of Nursing.
