Congradulations to our McNair Scholar Winners!
Angelia Flemming, an undergrad at Talladega College, worked as a McNair Scholar in the Department of Nutrition Sciences Lab this summer. Her research poster was awarded first place among all McNair Scholar Projects. Julian Munoz worked with her day to day and did a great job as mentor. The collarboration included Joe Baggott and Sarah Morgan who added their expertise on AICAR measurement and related biochemistry.
Jacqueline Jones, another McNair Scholar working in Maria Deluca's lab this summer, won first place for reasearch in her category. Michelle Moses and Issa Coulibaly worked as collaborators on the probect.
Danielle Shields, another McNair Scholar, placed third in her category at the poster session Thursday. She plans to apply to the PhD program in Biology at UAB.
