Dr. Penelope Moyers is president-elect of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
Moyers is professor and chair of the UAB Department of Occupational Therapy, part of the School of Health Professions. Moyers assumes her term as president-elect in April and begins her three-year term as president of the 35,000 member organization in April 2007.
“I am honored to be given this opportunity by AOTA’s members to serve the association and the profession,” Moyers said.
“I have been truly overwhelmed with all the expressions of support from across the county, and I am looking forward with great anticipation and excitement to my term as president-elect. Together, we will continue to address the important issues facing occupational therapy and move our profession forward.”
