The National Institutes of Health (NIH) ranks the School of Health Professions (SHP) #1 in research funding among all allied health schools nationwide. Annually, NIH computes data on funding provided by NIH grants, cooperative agreements and contracts to universities, hospitals, and other institutions. SHP holds the record for 26 consecutive years in either first or second place on the NIH ranking list. SHP is one of the largest health-related professions schools in the nation with 21 innovative programs at the baccalaureate, master's, and doctoral degree levels within six departments.
