In an article posted on August 31, 2009, the Chronicle of Higher Education outlines five college majors that are likely to proliferate on college campuses in the coming years based upon interviews with academic experts, business analysts and economic forecasters. Among the rising fields of study is Health Informatics, due in no small part to the $19-billion pledged in economic stimulus money to computerize every U.S. medical records by 2014.
