Bradley Newcomer, Ph.D., will direct the new, flexible program in the Honors Academy, the Experiential Learning Scholars Program (ELSP), which will debut this fall with more than 85 incoming freshman. It will provide unique learning opportunities for students through learning contracts that will help them achieve their academic, professional and personal goals and participate in both honors-level, course-based and non-credit experiences. Newcomer, an associate professor of clinical and diagnostic sciences in the School of Health Professions, has a background in physics, magnetic resonance imaging, research and honors education and is a 2007 winner of the President’s Award for Excellence in Teaching.
