Jerry “Mickey” Trimm, Ph.D., FHIMSS is Associate Professor in the B.S. in Health Care Management Program in the Department of Health Services Administration, School of Health Professions, University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Trimm has over 27 years of healthcare management experience and consults extensively throughout the State and Southeast, specializing in the planning and development of rural and underserved area health systems.
Dr. Trimm serves as co-chair of the Governor’s Black Belt Action Commission Healthcare Task Force. He also serves as a researcher for the UAB Minority Health Research Center and is a member of that organization’s Birmingham Community Advisory Board.
Dr. Trimm’s teaching assignments include strategic management, healthcare information technology, and research methods. He also coordinates the undergraduate management internship program.
