The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society recently announced the advancement of Eta S. Berner, Ed.D, FHIMSS to Fellow Member status in HIMSS. Dr. Berner teaches in the Master of Science in Health Informatics Program in the School of Health Professions. Advancement is an award and recognition of service and contribution for years of membership in HIMSS. The emphasis for growth and advancement in the society is placed on honoring members who provide substantial service to HIMSS and to the greater healthcare community. Individuals who advance to Fellow status are leaders within the society, as well as the healthcare community.
