Kevin Brantley, a student in the UAB Health Informatics graduate program, has been selected as the recipient of the 2009 Eclipsys Clinical Informatics Scholarship, established to advance the field of Healthcare Information Technology. The scholarship is awarded to a student pursuing a degree (Undergraduate, Masters or PhD) in the IT Healthcare field. Eclipsys sponsors the scholarship through the HIMSS Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS). In addition to the $5000 scholarship award, the winner also receives an all-expense paid trip to the Annual HIMSS Conference and Exhibition.
