Health Informatics student JaNean Whitlow recipient of prestigious Beacon Partners Scholarship from HIMSS Foundation

JaNean Whitlow, MSHI Class of 2008, is the 2007 recipient of the Beacon Partners Scholarship, which is co-sponsored by Beacon Partners, a privately held healthcare management consulting firm, and by the Health Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Foundation.JaNean Whitlow, MSHI Class of 2008, is the 2007 recipient of the Beacon Partners Scholarship.  This scholarship, sponsored by Beacon Partners, a privately held healthcare management consulting firm,  and the Health Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Foundation, carries a $7000 cash award and a paid trip to the HIMSS Annual Conference in Orlando, FL.  The HIMSS Foundation recognizes future leaders in the field of Health Informatics whose scholastic and leadership capabilities demonstrate potential in the healthcare information and management systems industry. 
 
Ms. Whitlow has maintained a 4.0 GPA and served as the student liaison to the Alabama HIMSS chapter this year.  She will begin an administrative internship in January and will be graduated in May.
