For purposes of academic status in SHP, the grade point average of a student admitted in good standing will be accumulated for work completed while enrolled in the School of Health Professions. Since students in SHP professional programs will participate in clinical practice and graduates must provide a quality health care service, undergraduate students will be required to maintain an overall C average in all courses and earn no letter grade less than C in any professional course to continue in the program. A student who makes a grade of D in any course may petition the faculty for review for possible alternatives for proceeding in the program. Graduate students must maintain an overall B average and overall satisfactory performance in pass/fail courses.
The preceding statements are the minimum requirements for SHP programs; individual programs may have additional academic requirements.
