The following articles appeared in various issues during 2006, 2007 and 2008 in Trends, the newsletter of the Association of Schools of Allied Health Professions. The brief articles deal with a number of health workforce issues and developments that have both education and health system implications.
Short articles such as these cannot treat the issues raised in any depth, but I trust they will provide pertinent data and speak to relevant concerns for further discussion and investigation. It is hopeful that the articles will be useful to deans, program directors, faculty, policy analysts and educational planners as they attempt to provide appropriate education and contribute to the nation’s health care system.
