Rex A. Wright
Research Program:
Dr. Wright’s research is concerned chiefly with predicting effort-related cardiovascular responses in people presented with different tasks under different performance conditions. Relevant studies are guided by a conceptual analysis that integrates ideas from Psychophysiology and Motivational Psychology. The work has been supported in the past by the National Institute of Mental Heath and small grants from UAB. It presently is supported by a grant from the National Science Foundation. In addition to carrying out studies related to his major research interest, Dr. Wright has been involved over the years in academic exchanges, chiefly with German universities. The exchanges have been supported in part by a German Academic Exchange Service Study Award and a Fulbright Senior Lecture/Research Award.
