About Us The Resource Center, UAB's Employee Assistance Program, provides counseling and wellness programs for UAB employees and their family members. Counseling is available for a wide variety of issues that may impact individuals at different times in their lives. These issues include grief, depression, stress, relationships, divorce, abuse, addictions, and work related problems, as well as many others. The Resource Center also provides assistance to faculty and staff members in supervision and managerial roles who have employees who are experiencing job performance issues. UAB Resource Center services are strictly confidential and are provided at no cost to UAB Employees and their family members. UAB Resource Center services are provided as an employee benefit by UAB.
