Organization

The Center's administrative offices are located in the UAB Department of Psychology, in Suite 201 of Campbell Hall.

The Center Director is Dr. Karlene Ball, Professor of Psychology, an internationally recognized expert on cognitive impairment and aging. Dr. Ball directs Center research activities at UAB and field research programs in five other states.

The Center Co-Director is Dr. Cynthia Owsley, Professor of Ophthalmology, an internationally recognized authority on vision impairment and eye disease in the elderly. Her clinical research unit in the UAB Department of Ophthalmology serves as a satellite office for the Center in the heart of the UAB Medical Center.
