The purpose of this page is to provide a temporary link to the COERE's current home page and the ABC™ User's Manual until the COERE's new web site is completed. Please check back with us periodically for more information.

The UAB Center for Outcomes and Effectiveness Research and Education (COERE) was established in 1998 and has been designated as a University-Wide Interdisciplinary Research Center. The COERE's mission is to improve the quality of outcomes and effectiveness research at UAB, in the state of Alabama, and across the nation. As a multidisciplinary center within a state-of-the-art academic medical center, the COERE is in a position to serve as a resource to UAB research faculty, the health care industry, government, and others to aid in the development and implementation of generalizable outcomes research for improving the quality and cost-effectiveness of health care.

The COERE offers integrated scientific expertise and experience in the all areas of outcomes and effectiveness research, including: quality measurement, outcomes measurement and technology assessment, decision analytic modeling, outcomes management and tracking, clinical guideline development and implementation, retrospective claims data analysis, cost-effectiveness and cost-benefit analysis.
