MISSION AND MEMBERSHIP

UAB graduate students are represented by the Graduate Student Association (GSA), which works closely with the Graduate School and other offices of the university administration in formulating policy and meeting student needs. All graduate students are automatically members of the GSA, and the GSA Senate is composed of student representatives from graduate programs. Interested students should contact any GSA officer if they would like to become a GSA Senator.

The next GSA Senate meeting will be October 7 at 5pm in Bevill room 170.

All incoming graduate students are invited to join the GSA for Orientation on Friday, August 21st from 11:30-2:00 pm in the Bartow Arena.  Lunch will be provided!  Email uabgsa@yahoo.com for more information or to RSVP.

All senators are asked to volunteer to help with Orientation.  The shifts are:

10:00am-11:30am Set up

10:15am-11:45am Sign-in Desk

12:00pm-1:00pm Vendor Fair

2:00pm-3:00pm Clean-up

The 1st Annual GSA Casino Night Fundraiser was held on April 16th from 7-10pm at the Barking Kudo.  Thanks for everyone who attended!  A great time was had by all, and we hope to make this a continuing event.
