| Welcome to the Adult UAB website. The clinic meets at the Kirkland Clinic (the picture above) connected with UAB located on the corner of 5th avenue south and 20th street.

Q. Whom do I call if I get sick between clinic visits? A. During business hours, you should call Joy’s office at 205-975-0763 and speak to her or leave a message. If you follow the instructions and mark the message “Urgent,” she will be paged to get your message. After hours, call the University Hospital Paging Operator (205-934-3411) and explain who you are and ask them to page the “Pulmonary Doctor on Call.” That person will call you back promptly. |

| Patients between the ages of 18 and 21 will have the option of joining the Adult Program anytime after their 18th birthdays. The patients that are hospitalized will be admitted to UAB Hospital. The pulmonary unit is on the 3rd floor of the hospital. This center was created to take care of patient's with Cystic Fibrosis in the adult stage of life because of the increase in age of our patients. Our Children's Hospital staff have a transitional clinic set up for this to be as smooth as possible. We thank the Children's Pulmonary staff for this and the Adult Pulmonary staff for taking the time and effort to come over.
