Note: Prior to scheduling an appointment for CLEP Examinations, students should contact their academic advisor to determine the appropriate examination and any additional requirements (e.g., CLEP or institutional essay requirements, etc.) for the course for which they are seeking academic credit. UAB Testing Center does not advise students as to the acceptability of any examination to specific programs/schools.

CLEP examination sessions are scheduled by appointment only. Appointments may be scheduled by calling (205) 934-5503 or by using the e-mail feedback mechanism located at the bottom of this page.

Transfer Policy
All students who plan to transfer CLEP credits to UAB from another institution must have their scores reevaluated by UAB's Academic Programs and Policy Testing Center according to current UAB CLEP policies. Each student must request an official copy of his or her score report to be sent to UAB from The College Board in Princeton, New Jersey. For information on requesting an official CLEP score report, visit www.collegeboard.com/clep

CLEP Fee Information
CLEP examination fees are $72 (certified check or money order) payable to the CLEP Program. There is also a separate, non-refundable fee of $30 (cashier's check or money order) payable to UAB. Please bring both money orders to the UAB Testing Center on the date of your appointment.
