Conflict of Interest Review Board (CIRB)

The CIRB is the Department charged with the ongoing development of conflict of interest policy and procedures on sponsored research, review of Financial Interest disclosures submitted by investigators, and the development of management plans. If you are an investigator and your financial interests could appear to affect your sponsored research, then please be certain your Financial Interest disclosure is current and contact the CIRB Office for further information.

CIRB Requirements to Successfully Submit A Project Through OGCA

1. Provide a list with KEY PERSONNEL for the project to the CIRB. This list should be emailed to cirb@uab.edu with the full title of the project and principal investigator's name. Link number is a plus.

KEY PERSONNEL: The principal investigator/program director and any other person, who is responsible for the design, conduct, or reporting of the research is required to submit disclosure statements. Also any person who is involved in the "Informed Consent" process.

2. All KEY PERSONNEL listed on the project must complete the CIRB online disclosure form or OPTION "C" at the moment of submission; available at:
