Obtaining New Cell Phone Service for Business Use

Choosing a Cell Phone at UAB for business purposes is a three-step process.
  1. Obtain Departmental approval.

Cell Phones and Plans are available to UAB employees for business use purposes. Employee use must meet with appropriate departmental approval for direct billing to monthly account statements through Communication Services. See the Approval Form to fax back to UAB Communications once all signatures and information have been completed.

  1. Choose the best calling plan for your needs.

Please see our calling plan overview to decide which plan is best for you. You may change plans at any time.

  1. Choose a Cell Phone.

Choose a cell phone based on the features that are most important to you (cost, size, features, battery life, etc.). You may also set up a time to come by and look at the actual phones at the UAB Communications Office by making an appointment.
