The School of Social and Behavioral Sciences has four academic advisors. Deborah Littleton is the junior/senior advisor for all SBS majors except psychology. Student Success Seminars
The Student Success Seminars web pages are now available to students. The site provides a broad range of topics designed to help students make the most of their college experience. Review of an online seminar is required for students in a first year experience course.
General Study Strategy Sessions
The Office for Student Academic Success is offering free, voluntary Study Strategy Sessions to all UAB students. Study Strategy Sessions help students explore effective learning styles and efficient study practices. First year experience students are required to attend one session during the first term.
New Student Orientation
Newly admitted students are required to attend an orientation session. This site will provide you with more information. We strongly recommend that you contact your advisor at (205) 975-2015 to set up an appointment before your scheduled orientation session. We also recommend that you attend the earliest session available.
