Professor elected to national social work board

| Lisa Baker, Ph.D., an assistant professor of social work, has been elected to a two-year term on the National Association of Perinatal Social Workers (NAPSW) board of directors.
Baker teaches in the UAB Department of Anthropology and Social Work. Her research focuses on post-partum depression and perinatal health-care social work.
The NAPSW promotes and supports excellence in perinatal social work to maximize healthy outcomes for babies and their families. NAPSW objectives include education, program planning, evaluation, research and standard setting for perinatal social work.
