"The Care of the Child with a Chronic Tracheostomy"
This on-line continuing education module is based on the article printed in The American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, January 2000, 161, pg 297-308. The information is also available on a CD-ROM containing a presentation with speaker notes to aid future presenters and facilitate dissemination of this information to health care providers. It also contains handouts which can be printed directly from the CD-ROM. It is geared towards health professionals and students from a variety of health-related disciplines, including physicians. Cross Cultural Health Care Case Studies
This unique, interactive self-study program consists of a series of five tutorials in cultural competence, aimed at familiarizing health care providers with common issues that arise while working with people of diverse cultures. Each tutorial consists of a home page to introduce the topic and define concepts, a case story to illustrate the topic, a multimedia lecture about the topic, and a series of learning activities to engage the learner in applying the concepts to the case story. Nutrition for Children with Special Health Care Needs: A Self-Study Curriculum
A computer-based continuing education program for Registered Dietitians and other health care providers made up of 6 comprehensive modules. Each module includes practical examples of evidenced-based practice, is followed by a reference and resource list, and is approved for 1 hour of CPE from the American Dietetic Association's Commission on Dietetic Registration.

The Science of Sex and Gender in Human Health Online Course Website was developed collaboratively by the National Institute of Health's Office of Research on Women's Health and the Food and Drug Administration's Office of Women's Health. This free, self-paced, course was designed to help students, educators, health professionals, and researchers gain a basic scientific understanding of the major physiological differences between the sexes; the influences these differences have on illness and health outcomes; and the implications for policy, medical research, and health care.
