    When?

UAB Escort Service is an after-dark service provided upon request to UAB students and employees on the UAB campus.

You may reach the UAB Escort Service by calling 934-8772 from your office or cell phone. If these phones are not available, you may use a HELP Phone to request an escort.

A UAB escort will meet you at any on-campus location (including parking facilities) and accompany you to your on-campus destination either on foot or in a marked vehicle.

*Designated white telephones are located in twelve classroom buildings for your convenience (see the chart below).

Van Escorts provided by Parking and Transportation Services:

Monday - Friday, 5:15 pm until 10:15 pm

**Security Escorts provided by the UAB Police Department:

Monday - Friday 10:15 pm until 6:00 am and Saturday and Sunday 5:15 PM until 6:00 AM.

**All Police dispatched calls are taken in the order received, unless the priority dictates an emergency. Therefore, you may have to wait longer for Security Escorts.

Escort services are not provided beyond the campus.
