The UAB Police Department is a progressive and innovative law enforcement agency which relies strongly on the doctrine of community policing. Therefore, the department seeks out individuals who possess the qualities best suited to continue the mission of the department.

Individuals with or without police experience who meet the qualifications set forth in the Standards and Directives:

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalency
• Must not have a criminal record
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a valid Alabama Driver license
