Dr. Satchivi graduated from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1998. He completed an internship at Ohio State University Medical Center from 1998 to 1999 and residencies there from 1999 to 2004. His area of neurological care in children and adolescents focuses on treatment of problems of the brain and spinal cord, including stroke, and area of focus in pediatric neurosurgical care is on the routine and complex problems of children and adolescents.

Dr. Blount received his M.D. degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine in 1989. He completed an internship at the University of Minnesota from 1990 to 1991 and residencies from 1991 to 1996. He is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and the American Board of Pediatric Neurological Surgery. Surgical treatment and care focuses on all aspects related to gastrointestinal surgery; surgical oncology (cancer); burns, trauma, and surgical critical care; vascular surgery; epilepsy surgery; and craniofacial surgery. Dr. Blount also provides mental health services for the diagnosis and treatment of emotional and behavioral disorders.

Dr. Chambers received her M.D. degree from the UAB School of Medicine in 1995. She completed an internship at Johns Hopkins University from 1995 to 1996 and residencies at Vanderbilt University Medical Center from 1997 to 2002. Her clinical interests include all aspects of neurosurgery with an emphasis on brain tumors and spinal instrumentation. Her academic interests include novel therapies of brain tumors.

Dr. Fisher received his M.D. degree from the School of Medicine at St. Louis University in 1978. He completed an internship at the Bethesda Naval Hospital from 1978 to 1979 and residences there from 1979 to 1984. He was board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery in 1987. His focus in neurological surgery is in the treatment of cerebrovascular disease, arteriovenous malformations, aneurysms, trigeminal neuralgia, and peripheral nerve tumors and injuries.

Dr. Guthrie received his M.D. degree in 1980 from the UAB School of Medicine. He completed an internship at UAB Hospital from 1980 to 1981 and residencies at the Mayo Clinic from 1983 to 1988. He was board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery in 1992. His focus is in neurological oncology (brain tumors), stereotactic and computer-assisted surgery, functional surgery for movement disorders, and radiosurgery.

Dr. Hadley received his M.D. degree in 1982 from Albany Medical College. He completed an internship at the University of California from 1982 to 1983 and residences at the Barrow Neurological Institute from 1983 to 1988. He was board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery in 1992. His focus is on the treatment of and surgery for disorders of the spine and spinal cord including spinal stabilization and fusion.

Dr. Harrigan received his M.D. degree in 1995 from the University of Washington School of Medicine. He completed an internship at the University of Michigan Health System from 1995 to 1996 and residencies at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, from 1996 to 2002. His clinical interests focus on cerebrovascular and neuroendovascular surgery and current research focuses on cerebral blood flow, intracranial aneurysms, cerebrovascular hemodynamic disease, and neurosurgical critical care.

Dr. Markert received his M.D. degree in 1988 from Columbia University. He completed an internship from 1988 to 1989 at the University of Michigan Medical Center and residencies there from 1989 to 1995. He was board certified in 1999 by the American Board of Neurological Surgery. His areas of focus are in the surgical care of brain tumor patients (specialization with gamma knife) and novel therapies in the treatment of brain tumors.

Dr. Matz received his M.D. degree in 1992 from the Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons. He completed an internship at the University of California San Francisco from 1992 to 1993 and residencies there from 1993 to 1998. He was board certified in Neurosurgery in 2001.
His area of surgical treatment focuses on spinal neurosurgery and neurotrauma covering all aspects of patient care related to gastrointestinal surgery; surgical oncology (cancer); burns, trauma, and surgical critical care; and vascular surgery.

Dr. Oakes is also the Division Director and Chief of Pediatric Neurosurgery with the Children's Health System in Birmingham. He received his M.D. degree from Duke University School of Medicine in 1972. He completed an internship at Duke University from 1972 to 1973 and residencies at Duke and Toronto General Hospital for Sick Children from 1973 to 1978. He was board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery in 1981. Dr. Oakes is a pediatric neurosurgeon focusing on all aspects of patient care related to gastrointestinal surgery; surgical oncology (cancer); burns, trauma, and surgical critical care; and vascular surgery.

Dr. Pritchard received his M.D. degree from Georgetown University in 1993. He completed an internship at the National Naval Medical Center from 1993 to 1994 and residencies at Albany Medical College from 1996 to 2001. Neurological treatment focuses on problems of the brain and spinal cord and neurosurgical treatment focuses on problems related to the spine, spinal cord disorders, and spinal stabilization and fusion.

Dr. Riley received her M.D. degree from the UAB School of Medicine. She completed an internship from 1998 to 1999 at UAB Hospital and residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Neurosurgical treatment and care focuses on epilepsy and surgery for pituitary tumors.

Dr. Wellons is a graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in 1995. He completed his internship at Duke University from 1995 to 1996 and residencies at Duke from 1996 to 2000 and 2000 to 2001. He also completed a fellowship at the Children's Hospital of Alabama. Dr. Wellons is a pediatric neurosurgeon focusing in routine and complex surgery. His area of specialization is in routine and complex pediatric neurology surgery arising from problems of the brain and spinal cord, including stroke.
