John Rothrock, M.D., from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine, is now Director of a new program specializing in headache and serves as Vice Chairman of the Department of Neurology starting October 17, 2006. He previously served as Chair of Neurology at University of South Alabama College of Medicine from 1994 to 1999 and thereafter continued at that institution as Professor of Neurology and Associate Dean for Clinical Research. He also serves as Editor-in-Chief for Headache, the official journal of the American Headache Society and one of the nation’s most influential medical periodicals. Dr. Rothrock has been chosen by his peers for inclusion in “Best Doctors in America” and “America’s Top Doctors” each of the past five years. He is a national expert on the treatment of headaches and involved in numerous research studies examining new therapies for migraine.
