Dr. Triebel completed her doctoral curriculum and dissertation in July 2005 and received her Doctorate of Psychology (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Adult Neuropsychology from an APA-approved clinical psychology program-Forest Institute of Professional Psychology. She graduated Magna Cum Laude in August 2006. Her dissertation focused on the development and validation of a test for the detection of malingering in forensic settings. As a doctoral student, she received training at the U.S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners, an inpatient neurological rehabilitation hospital, and a geriatric psychiatric hospital for dementia patients. She completed an APA-approved clinical psychology internship with a specialty track in Neuropsychology at Coatesville Veteran's Affairs Medical Center in Coatesville, Pennsylvania in 2005-2006. She completed an APPCN approved postdoctoral fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology at UAB from 2006-2008.
During her postdoctoral fellowship, she has been involved in research and has presented her results at several professional conferences, and was a recepient of a "young investigator" research grant from the Alzheimer's Association of Central Alabama in 2007-2008 for research on Cognitive and Functional Abilities of African American Patients with Mild Cogntive Impairment.
