Dr. Randall Griffith completed his curriculum and dissertation in August 2001 and received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Neuropsychology from Finch University of Health Sciences/The Chicago Medical School in June 2002. His dissertation project focused on using quantitative MRI volumetric methods to study the relationship of mesial temporal lobe structures with memory functioning in epilepsy patients. While at Finch University he was consistently involved in research, the results of which included a first author publication, several platform presentations at international conferences, and the First Annual Laird Cermak Award, a singular distinction presented for outstanding research in memory from the International Neuropsychological Society, which is an international organization of neuropsychologists with a member base of 3,500. He was the recipient of a predoctoral fellowship from the Epilepsy Foundation of America in 2000-2001 for work on his dissertation that examined MRI volumes and cognition in temporal lobe epilepsy. He completed an APA-approved clinical psychology internship with a specialty track in Neuropsychology at West Virginia University in 2000-2001.
