The Society for Fetal Urology is a non-profit society whose main purpose is to promote fetal and prenatal urology, appropriate practice, education as well as exchanges between practitioners involved in the treatment of hydronephrosis.

INTENDED AUDIENCE: Pediatric urologists and maternal/fetal medicine specialists with a special interest in fetal urologic cnditions.

Purpose: Pediatric urologists often perform surgery on neonatal patients.  A better understanding of the specific physiologic and anesthetic issues with this patient population can aid in surgical planning and improved performance.

Educational Objectives:

Upon completion of this conference, the participant should be able to: (identify at least 3 educational objectives)

·          Identify  the challenges and logistics of a multidisciplinary fetal care center

·          Describe  the specific physiologic issues present in neonatal surgery

·          Discuss  the evaluation, treatment and nomenclature of disorders of sexual development

·          Review the challenges and differences present in neonatal anesthesia

·          Assess – recent advances in prenatal genitourinary imaging and diagnosis.
