SEPA Outreach Fellows are selected UAB undergraduates who are trained to assist with the development and implementation of CORD's SEPA-supported outreach programs:
Genetics and Microbiology Curriculum
Summer Science Institute
Outreach fellows dedicate 10 hours per week to an outreach program and are awarded $5,000 per academic year.
SEPA fellowship applicants must have a science major, be a graduate of a BCS high school and have at least a 3.0 GPA. The fellowship is renewable based upon verification of satisfactory academic performance and continued progress toward a degree. For additional information, please contact Dr. Mary Williams at (205) 934-5125.
The Outreach fellowship gives undergraduates the opportunity to contribute to their communities as they gain valuable experience from working with CORD scientists and with teachers and students from their former high schools.
