Welcome to the University of Alabama at Birmingham Department of Chemistry! We have information here for those who are joining our current group of chemistry majors, as well as helpful resources for our current students. We're here to help you attain the highest possible academic achievement, and we will do all that we can to assist you.

Chemistry majors must meet with me, Mr. James Grimes (the academic advisor), at least once each term so we can work together to plan the most efficient and effective academic plan for you, stay in contact with your progress, and let you know of opportunities in your areas of interest (undergraduate research and graduate school, medicine, dentistry, optometry, pharmacy, or forensic chemistry, to name a few).
