The Immunology Seminar Series hosts guest speakers representing a variety of academic and industrial institutions. The speakers present seminars based on their work in the field of Immunology. The goals of the speaker series extend not only to learn of the ongoing research outside of UAB, but also to provide the opportunity for faculty and students to interact with their invited colleagues to promote scientific dialogue.
REQUEST FOR EXTERNAL SPEAKER SUGGESTIONS
During the weeks
and months ahead, on behalf of the UAB Program in Immunology, Dr. Casey Weaver
has agreed to coordinate the scheduling of external invited guest speakers
representing a variety of scientific interests*. Please see the list of
Previous Program in Immunology Invited Speakers below for reference.
*e.g., allergy, autoimmunity, cancer immunology, clinical /
translational immunology, fundamental immunology, host defense, immunogenetics
and immunodeficiency, inflammation, mucosal immunity, neuroimmunology,
transplantation, and scientists specializing in core facility-type tools
supporting immunology research.
Funding is
available through the UAB Arthritis and Musculoskeletal Center. Other
related UAB sponsors are invited to co-sponsor / help with related expenses when
and where possible.
