The Bone, Cartilage, and Connective Tissue Research Group works in collaboration with the Center for Metabolic Bone Disease (CMBD) to advance studies in connective tissue, cartilage, and bone biology. Building on UAB’s multi-disciplinary effort in bone biology and working in partnership with the CMBD on bone biology, this group also addresses issues of fibroblast proliferation, cell-matrix interactions and the role of TNF superfamily molecules in osteoclast biology.
