From the Chair
Women play a key role in the success of UAB, and I believe the work of the Commission on the Status of Women will strengthen our effort to create and maintain a positive and equitable environment.
Commission members are working to identify the needs of women on this campus and recommend strategies and policies that will uphold UAB’s position as a leading academic institution in the Southeast.
We also want to support and recognize the achievements of women at UAB by spreading news of their accomplishments.
I look forward to hearing your ideas and opinions on the needs of all women at UAB and initiatives that will ensure that those needs are met.
