The National Organization for Women (NOW) speaking tour will be in Birmingham this Saturday, February 23, at 2:00 p.m. at the William M. and Virginia B. Spencer Honors House on the UAB campus.  Rose Afriyie, the regional coordinator for NOW Campus Action Networks who came last year, showed Dreamworlds and led a discussion on focusing awareness on women in music videos will lead four salons/discussions about women’s issues that are important on our campus. Please come and voice your opinions!  She will also be here on Sunday, Feb 24 at 6:00pm, also at the Spencer Honors House, to meet specifically with UAB’s Campus Action Network. If you are interested in joining the UAB CAN, please come to this meeting, or email Anamaria Santiago at asantiag@uab.edu so she can put you on the mailing list.
