  • Pre-Nursing Advising Sessions are held during New Student Orientation.

 

  • Individual Advising Sessions are available throughout each semester. All pre-nursing students are encouraged to meet with their pre-nursing advisor for individual advising sessions each term. Call 205-934-6135 to schedule an appointment.

 

  • Pre-Nursing Shadowing Program provides an opportunity for UAB students to observe a nurse on a unit of UAB Hospital for an afternoon. This program is a collaborative effort among Exploratory Studies, Career Services, School of Nursing and UAB Hospital. Details will be posted and e-mailed to nursing students each semester.

 

  • Freshmen Meetings are held each term to introduce and/or review Pre-Nursing information on courses, components of the application to the School of Nursing, student involvement, and volunteerism. Click here for meeting dates.

 

  • Upperclassmen Meetings are held each term to assist students with the extra-curricular elements of their preparation and resume and personal essay development with the support of Career Services. Click here for meeting dates.

 

  • Applicant's Meeting held each term for students applying to the School of Nursing to cover the necessary components of an strong application packet. Click here for meeting dates.
