Why present or publish?
There are many reasons to present and/or publish your research. It helps prepare you for future research at the graduate level or in a professional career. It demonstrates a serious commitment to advancing your field. It enables you to not only hone writing and public speaking skills, but opens you up to a network of potential colleagues. Plus, it is one of the best opportunities to be recognized for your work and to share ideas and findings with others. UAB Journals
INQUIRO is a journal for undergraduates, produced by undergraduates. Any student who has conducted scientific research at UAB is eligible to submit their work for publication. UAB students who have done research elsewhere are also eligible. The journal is an annual publication and accepts science papers only at this time.
The Vulcan Historical Review is an award winning annual student published Historical journal sponsored by UAB's Chi Omicron chapter of the Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society and the UAB Department of History. Submissions of articles, book reviews, and film reviews on historical topics are welcome from any UAB undergraduate or graduate student, as well as Alumni.
Aura Literary Arts Review is a student literary arts journal produced by students at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in Birmingham, Alabama, USA. The journal offers quality poetry, short fiction, creative nonfiction, and visual artwork.

The 9th Annual University of Alabama System Honors Research Conference - On April 16, 2010, UAH will host three campuses (The University of Alabama, the University of Alabama in Huntsville, and the University of Alabama at Birmingham) to provide students in Honors programs at all an opportunity to present their research in a professional forum to peers and faculty from all three institutions. The 24th Annual National Conferences on Undergraduate Research- NCUR 2010 will be at The University of Montana, April 15-17, 2010. This conference will bring together over 2000 undergraduates involved in scholarly and artistic activities from more than 300 colleges and universities in the nation.
